“Flawlessly executed mission”:PM Modi praises armed forces post Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday gave his first official response to the Indian military’s precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, calling it a “flawlessly executed mission.” Chairing a high-level Union Cabinet meeting, PM Modi briefed his ministers on the tri-services operation that targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

He informed the Cabinet that the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force worked in perfect coordination and carried out the mission “exactly as planned,” without any operational lapses. The Prime Minister expressed pride in the forces’ professionalism and lauded the “immaculate execution” of the mission.

The military action came in direct response to the brutal April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 civilians dead. Modi said the operation was a calibrated and proportionate response aimed at eliminating the core infrastructure of cross-border terrorism.

Cabinet ministers unanimously backed the Prime Minister’s leadership and conveyed their full support to the armed forces. They also reiterated the nation's unwavering stand against terrorism, declaring solidarity with the families of the Pahalgam victims.

In a press conference held later, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, along with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, detailed the midnight air strikes. They confirmed that all nine targets were terror facilities, including training centres and indoctrination camps, and that utmost care was taken to avoid civilian casualties.
